How can I say I confused the dates...? Hi guys! So here's the deal: Last Friday I went to a theater to watch a musical play, but when I arrived there I realized that my ticket was to next Friday. I got confused. Is it OK to say "I got confused" or "I confused the dates"? Or even "I was confused about the date"? Thank you in advance.

I would say, 'I mixed up the dates', or 'I got the dates mixed up'. As Ella mentioned, 'I got the dates confused'/'I must've confused the dates' is good too.

Thank you girls!

Hi Renata :) All of the options you wrote would be fine. But, in my opinion, the most natural way would probably be "I must've confused the dates" - (using a past modal of deduction) I hope this helps!

I confused the dates. Alternatively, you could say , "I mixed up the dates."
