"Between A over B" Can "between" be used in this pattern? If yes, I'll learn a new use of it. If not, what should I say to convey the same meaning? Can you give one or two choices? Thank you. ------ My life’s work has been dedicated to the forgotten art of spoken communication and the power that the right words at the right time can have to achieve the right results. Quite often the decision BETWEEN a customer choosing you OVER someone like you depends on your ability to know exactly what to say, when to say it and how to make it count. ----

Honestly, can’t think of another word other than “between”. Maybe “of” but that isn’t as good.

I am not a native speaker of English. So, just for your information. I have never seen "between" used with "over" as you said. I would say "customer's decision whether to choose you or someone like you depends on".
