trekking, camping, backpacking and camping trip I don't know how to put this. On the one hand, I am curious whether 'camping trip' is the same as 'trekking', 'camping' and 'backpacking'. If ther's some difference between them I'd like to know it. On the other hand, there's a heading (not one, but I am writing only about one) that needs to be matched to only one paragraph. Here it is. C camping trip is included in the program of activities 12 ________ The summer of 2003 marked new territory for Cosby Expeditions… the first ever Llama Trek in the mountains of North Carolina! It was a fantastic adventure for the selected few who dared to join us for the week of fun. ET and his fellow llamas carried our essentials, needed for spending 3-days in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina. The Llama Trek also offers adventurers the opportunity to experience several different outdoor activities including rock climbing and whitewater rafting on the Ocoee River in Tennessee! Our week will feature 1 day of rock climbing, 3 days of TREKKING through the mountains of North Carolina with our llamas, and will end with our adrenaline-filled day of rafting.' 15 ________ This camp is a shortened version of the Appalachian Explorer, and kept a little closer to “home” for those who aren’t interested in a full week of wilderness camping and experiences. This camp will begin at Camp Cosby but will quickly move to the mountains of northern Alabama where campers will spend 2 days BACKPACKING in some of the most beautiful areas of Alabama. The camp will then spend a day rock climbing destinations in the south. No experience necessary for this quick shot of adrenaline! I think whoever wrote this question intends the "correct" answer to be 15. Could you tell me is their any way 12 can be the correct answer why? Why not? The full test is here (word document). https://towmuch.com/files/download/1758/b6ccdb84feccac3e329093a469e142fc Thank you!

Trekking-Basically the same as hiking (walking in the forest, mountains, outdoors in a natural environment), but when I hear trekking I think of a more strenuous hike that may or may not be on a trail. With trekking and hiking you'll carry basic supplies--water, a snack, sunscreen, etc in a backpack but it's not the same backpack (often called a daypack) as a backpacking backpack. The main difference is size. Camping-You sleep in a tent (usually--sometimes people will sleep in a cabin, yurt, etc) outdoors. You might walk a very short distance or drive to the campsite. A camping trip is the name for all the days you're sleeping in the tent. For example "I am going on a 3 day camping trip." Backpacking--You hike or trek to your campsite, but you need to carry all your day and overnight supplies (food, tent, sleeping bag, water, etc) in a large bag on your back. Note* I have once in a while heard trekking used in place of backpacking, but it's implied it's the same. For example (like 12) if I saw #12 in a travel brochure I would know they meant backpacking because of the 3 days.

is their any way 12 can be the correct answer why? I guess it can if you split those activities into rock climbing, a camping trip and rafting. Then the trip IS INCLUDED in program... However, you have rock climbing in 15 as opposed to backpacking so you can also treat that as rock climbing + a camping trip. Thus, a camping trip is also included...

“Camping” is a broader word used to describe sleeping outdoors, usually in a tent or cabin. But when you go camping, sometimes you do not hike or walk to the location. You can sometimes even drive up to the campsite. “Trekking“ and “backpacking are more specific types of camping. Trekking involves hiking for at least a moderate distance. You may or may not need to carry supplies. Backpacking also includes hiking, plus needing to carry your own supplies like a tent and stove in a backpack.
