Innuendo: Something that is said that has Either: A suggestive/sometimes cute undertone, OR, a derogatory/insulting undertone hidden within the comment. It is usally one of these two. Someone who uses an innuendo can also be making a funny remark without actually using the words that would otherwise offend. Symbolism is very frequently used to make an innuendo. Whereas alluding to something does not usually use symbolism.
Allusion: Something said that is intended to remind the listener about something but WITHOUT saying explicitly what it is. Something that is said that can also be used to GENTLY remind somebody about something either in a funny way, or a gentl persuasive way not intended to hurt or insult.
I really hope this clear.
