How to say "I hope" and "he hopes" in modern standard Arabic? How to say "I hope" and "he hopes" in modern standard Arabic? In a textbook that I am studying, I hope = 'amal and he hopes is ya'mal. But in the dictionary I got 'amul and ya'mul. Are both forms used or what?

Hi Ali actually both of what you've written is similar you can say '' ana atmana '' howa yatamana '' as well
