What does "to keep pace" mean?
Can you give me an example?

Hello!
I think that perhaps "to keep pace with" is a better way of saying it. And this means to move at the same speed as something or someone else. Another way of saying it would be "to keep up".
For example: "The cyclist had to work really hard, to "keep pace with" his teammates"
I hope that helps!
