What is the difference between 지금이요 vs 지금요?
I've heard a lot of people say 지금요 instead of 지금이요. Are 지금이요 and 지금요 both correct? Or is one more natural to say than the other?
For example, would I say 선물이요? or 선물요 ?
OR another example - 가방이요? or 가방요?
Any explanations would be great - thanks!!!

Noun + -(이)요.
We use "-요" for no bottom words and "-이요" for bottom words.
구두 + -요 : 구두요 because there is no bottom word.
커피 + -요 : 커피요 because there is no bottom word.
지금 + -이요 : 지금이요 because there is a bottom, "ㅁ".
선물 + -이요 : 선물이요 because there is a bottom, "ㄹ".
가방 + -이요 : 가방이요 because there is a bottom, "ㅇ".
