What does "insult" in this context mean?
For example
They are talking about marriage life. His friend has a perfect marriage life, so he said that :
"Because I'm not living up to your version of my full potential. That would be creepy if it wasn't insulting."
What does "insult" in this context mean?
Thank you

First of all, please note that you wrote "marriage life" in your post but you have actually mixed together two phrasings, as you can see below:
- marriage life
+ married life
+ marriage
As for the meaning of insult, the vocabulary itself can be used as both a verb and noun.
Both in general and in this sentence, it means to say something that 'hurts' someone's feelings or pride.

Insult is a rude expression intended to offend or hurt. The man was offended (insulted) by the opinion of his life.

I think the speaker (Person A) means, that he feels disrespected by his friend (Person B), because Person B is comparing his life to Person A. Just because A doesn't have a "so called" perfect life, doesn't mean that he's a bad person or unhappy.
I hope that helps!
