Actually, it is perfectly OK. Unusual, but OK.

After some time, After a little while.

'after a while' or 'after some time', I think is correct. Some people also use 'In a bit', which my guess is Americanized English.

No, that's not grammatically correct.
You would say "after a while" or to be more specific "after a little while"
