why do people in the whole world keep chasing money all the time?
The whole universe is so huge and each of us hman is just a rather small part. Our lives are so short that we couldnt even know what will going on the next moment. But why do people in the whole world keep chasing money all the time?

Beacuse unless you are planning to join a tribu in the jungle and find your food on trees, money is how we eat ... (among other things) . The real issue is when someone makes money (or getting it) the core of his or her life, forgetting about everything else and probably neglecting people around him or her because of the constant preocupation about material stuff .
Everything is fine if we keep the natural balance of things, and if we lose it, is going to affect every aspect of our lives... so we better watch out ! ^.^

Because it easier to think only in one dimension?
Yes, without money we couldn't survive, but is this the only reason?
Do people really only chase money? In fact, often when people talk of money it means many different things to them:
- influence and power,
- having a good life,
- security
- some even try to buy love
Money is a synonym for a panacea for all evils. If you let people choose what to do with their money, you'll see that they think completely different.

Money is the means to buy goods, and the liberal capitalist regimes which spread thoughout the world has made money more and more important. Now individuals are "consumers" and they shop till they drop ^^
Shortly, what you didn't buy does not belong to you and you are what you possess.
Agree or disagree, people create a self image with what they buy&how much money they pay for it.
Or, another perspective can be what other thing is left to chase? ^_^
Love? Come on. It comes and goes.

We chase after money all the time, because we can't run fast enough to catch up with enough of it.
