Could anyone recommend me any Metal/Rock Scottish bands that use bagpipes?
Hello everyone,
Two days ago I heard nice piece of music. It was a rock combined with Scottish folklore, I was able to hear simultaneously electric guitar and bagpipe. It raised my curiosity to the point that I am asking earlier mentioned question.
Thank you in advance.
Cheers,
MateuszThere should be "someone" instead of "anyone" in the title of the thread, sorry for that.

Mateusz,
ok you need to listen to The Peatbog Faeries, Shooglenifty or for real quality Martyn Bennett. All available on Grooveshark. com.
Happy listening

I'm not sure if I got you taste correctly, but "Flogging Molly" is one of the most known (and best, imo) Celtic rock bands. They use many traditional intruments: violin, whistle, flute, bagpipe and combine their sounds with their characterictic punk riffs. The only problem is that they're Irish/American :) For the Scottish band I truly recommend "Wolfstone" to you.

hum... i don't know any scottish metal rock band that uses bagpipes but there is a band I know that you probably know too that is called "Dropkick Murphys" they are not scottish (irish american), their subgenre is Celtic punk/hardcore punk but they heavely use bagpipes in many of their songs, maybe you are talking about this band.
