~号（ごう） = ~number. 数字（すうじ） = numbers

If you are talking about the numerals in general, then the term is 数字 / 数 (すうじ / す, suuji / su). If you are talking about a particular number, such as the street number, telephone number, etc., the term is 番号 (ばんごう, bangou).
