question about the difference between fall and fell
I am still a little puzzled about the two words.
For example,Leaves fall down from the tree or fell down or both are OK?
It seems fell is also can be a verb,I saw a sentence in dictionary:
Strong winds felled the road sign.

fell = past tense e.g. Yesterday the leaves fell from the tree because it was windy
Felled= came down/blew over/knocked down

Also "Fall" means "Autumn"

Fall is present tense
Fell is past tense.
If you see leaves "fall" and tell someone about it later then you can say "Leaves fell from the the tree"
