выбрав японскую раскладку клавы, там где хирагана катакана и т.д. выбери full width alphanumeric (добавлено к ответу выше). :)

word 2007 page layout tag, text direction - vertical. (разметка страницы/направление текста/вертикальная)

if you use word 2007 go to layout, choose landscape and then choose vertical in the menu "text direction" (my word is in portuguese, so i don't know the correct tranlation of those...)
