Hello, sir/madam, I've a question related to the Causative Verb: Make. Please, could you tell me what the sentence means? The sentence is: "She makes her children learn English."
One of my school teachers told me that, "She teaches her children English," but I don't think so.
So, what does it mean?

Yes, you are right. It doesn't mean that she teaches them herself. It means, for example, that the mother insists that the children go to English classes, and that she forces them to sit down and study.

Just so we don't confuse you, my answer is wrong. It doesn't mean that that the woman is necessarily the teacher, as I said. I read the statement to mean that, but it's not necessarily true.

"Makes her children learn" means "she teaches them and ensures that they learn, even if they don't want to." To "make" someone do something is to "force" them to do it.
