In Japan, we had terrible torrential rain yesterday. The news said that it was the highest rainfall ever recorded and that a linear precipitation zone occurred due to a seasonal rain front (a linear precipitation zone formed that brought on a seasonal rain front) (Actually, I have known Japanese which means "linear precipitation zone" and "seasonal rain front" but I had no idea how they should say in English. So, I had to google them and learned this time). Especially, the Kyoshu region had more than 100mm rainfall per hour and broke the record. Because of this, there were landslides in those area and it seemed like some houses got washed out(away). In Yamaguchi, a car was washed away by the flood and a guy in his 70s was missing. I feel like we (always) face this kind of sad thing at this time of the year. That's why we have to prepare all the time since everybody knows that in life, bad things/disasters happen even though we are happily married (even though everything may appear to be going well).
