Today, I found a simple pudding recipe and actually tried making it. It was very easy and had a simple, delicious taste. I think I’ll make it again when I feel like eating something sweet.

Today, I found a simple pudding recipe and actually tried following it. It was very easy and my pudding had a simple and delicious taste. I think I’ll make it again when I feel like eating something sweet.
You make a pudding but you follow a recipe, in your first sentence, "it" refers to the recipe.
