In China we have a saying, which says something lucky will happen when you hear the voice of magpies.So I am looking forward to meeting beautiful things or pepole today.Maybe another nice student？I hope so.

Could you please help me correct the following sentences? Thank you in advance. I heard two magpies chirping when I woke up this morning. In China we have a saying where something lucky will happen when you hear the chirping/sound of magpies. So I am looking forward to encountering beautiful things or people today. Maybe another nice student？I hope so.

"have a saying which says..." is correct, but a little repetitive. "Meeting people" is okay. But "meeting beautiful things" does not sound right. Maybe you translated from Chinese 遇到? Better to use the word "encountering" for "things."
