At the beginning of the year, I was torn between staying or quitting my job. One of the consequences that the pandemic brought to my job is that we couldn’t receive any tourists. So, I was only teaching online to my coworkers two to three days a week. This situation turned a little bit nerve-racking for me because I only had one activity to perform in this company. On the other hand, I took advantage of this situation to finally get my college degree and that made me realize that the research field was very interesting. For that reason, I started to look for other options to grow professionally. As a result, I got enrolled in this master’s program.
Comments:
*One rule about more formally written English is that if a number is less than 10, we spell it out. It's a weird rule, I know :P
*The pandemic is a specific, universal thing right now, so it needs an article 'the' before it.
*In written English, we typically don't start a sentence with a conjunction (like 'and' or 'but').
