Ildiko

Ildiko has been essential in helping me prepare for my Hungarian Citizenship interview. I started with her before I knew any Hungarian at all, and now we are comfortably able to converse on a lot of topics together.

I've been working with Ildikó for over 2 years to learn Hungarian for my simplified naturalization interview, which I just passed successfully the day I'm writing this. She's an excellent, very thorough, very encouraging teacher who's instilled in me just as much love for the Hungarian language and Hungarian culture as I can tell she has herself. She's been very understanding and accommodating to help me learn at my own pace, but she's never gone easy on me, always pushing me to speak and understand Hungarian on a deeper level. She's fantastic at tailoring lessons and conversations to who I am; don't be surprised on your first lesson if she's Googled you and already has a lesson plan about your most obscure interests! That is how much Ildikó truly cares about her students. If you're in for the long haul of learning this language, Ildikó is a fantastic teacher to take you on this journey, and will feel like family by the end of it.

Ildikó is a wonderful teacher, tutor, and mentor. She is incredibly helpful in advancing and improving Hungarian language comprehension and speaking skills. Moreover—and this is unique and highly-appreciated—she works hand-in-hand with the students to help formulate relevant and interesting texts and then recording those texts in audio clips for later use by the student. Reviewing and listening to these materials has helped greatly in learning the language. She is very patient and kind too, and remembers details in future conversations, helping to keep those discussions always interesting and rewarding.
