Hello, and thank you for reading my profile.
Let me tell you a little about myself. I’m a native English speaker with over 30 years’ experience as a teacher, working both in the classroom and online. I genuinely enjoy helping people improve their English—whether for enjoyment, career development, travel, or exam success. I also love sharing my knowledge of science with young learners and have a strong interest in nature and the environment.
Over ten years ago, I moved to Portugal with my husband, where we now run a farm and keep horses. Living in a foreign country has given me real insight into the language-learning process—I understand both the challenges and the rewards of learning a new language.

Science TeacherDuring my time as a science teacher, I had the opportunity to teach a range of topics including Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Science and Health Sciences. My students were aged between 11 and 18 and I thoroughly enjoyed my time in the classroom sharing my knowledge and preparing exciting and engaging lessons.

Licence - Post Graduate Certificate in EducationStudying for the PGCE gave me a thorough understanding of teaching practices, educational research, and theory. It is a recognized qualification both in the UK and abroad. It applies to all subject areas and provides new teachers with the skills they need to be successful.
