Dimitri

I highly recommend Dimitri as a language instructor. Over the course of about a year, my French has improved from A2 to C1, and Dimitri is now helping me prepare to take the C1 exam and eventually reach C2. Dimitri is widely read, has intellectual range, and tailors lessons to my interests while still making sure that we cover all necessary linguistic concepts as well as a diverse set of subjects. Overall, I am very satisfied with Dimitri's teaching, and I look forward to further improving my French!

Dimitri is very competent, experienced teacher who makes language learning interesting, rewarding, and enjoyable while maintaining a high level of rigour. With Dimitri's help, I have improved my French from ~A2 to ~B2. Dimitri actively tailors lesson plans and the general learning strategy to fit my goals. Our lessons typically comprise of grammatical/syntactical concept review and a discussion based on topical reading material to work on my speaking. Dimitri's extensive pedagogical experience, educational qualifications, and language knowledge show in his teaching and allow him to understand students' needs. Overall, I highly recommend Dimitri as a language teacher and I look forward to continuing to work with him on my language-learning goals.

I've been taking lessons with Dimitri for several months now, and he is an absolute gem of a teacher :) Every class we've had has been just consistently excellent. First, I really like having a teacher who speaks all the same languages as me (English and Russian). We are working through B1 materials, so the classes are almost exclusively in French. However, Dimitri still does a great job of explaining how such and such grammar concept is similar in English, or how this or that sound is similar in Russian, etc. Aside from that, he has been patiently and diligently correcting all my bad habits. He has a plan for every class, and if something does not go according to plan, he adjusts the lesson so seamlessly, you could barely notice. Finally, he is always just super nice, well-organized, and professional. Très bonnes leçons. Tout le monde remarque que je me suis vraiment améliorée récemment. Merci beaucoup!

Very good lesson! Excellent teacher!

Dimitri was excellent! He was very patient with me and allowed me to always try before correcting. He is open to all kinds of learning styles and is able to formulate a solid plan going forward. Highly recommend booking lessons with him!
