I am originally Palestinian, but I grew up in Jordan before moving to the US as a child. I have never lived in Palestine/Israel, and growing up, I have been exposed to a couple of Levantine dialects. As a result, what I speak is mostly Palestinian, but with other Levantine influences.

I am looking for people who are interested in improving their Arabic. My native Arabic dialect is the Palestinian Levantine dialect.
I have a M.A. in Middle Eastern Studies, and a B.A. in German, European Studies, and Italian. While studying, I have tutored and taught Palestinian Arabic. In addition, I also studied MSA in school as well as on a college level, and thus I can offer help with written MSA. Mes leçons et ma méthode d'enseignement
My teaching style is conversation-focused, with emphasis on vocabulary/grammar. If you are booking your first tutoring session with me, *please contact me first* and include the following information: your Arabic level, whether you’re learning MSA or a dialect, and what your goals are. Otherwise, I will contact you before accepting your lesson request. At the moment, I offer Levantine conversation practice for all levels and written MSA help (but no MSA conversation, and no MSA for beginners). If you are interested in lessons with written homework, please contact me first for rates.

We proceed as follows. I prepare a story in English that will take me approximately one hour to tell. I run the story through ChatGPT and have it translated into colloquial Palestinian Arabic. Then I study the Arabic version to recite it during our session. Dalia listens, corrects my blunders and sends me commentary on MS Works.
