Hi! I’m Gina from South Africa, a TEFL-certified English teacher with over eight years of experience helping students feel confident and natural when speaking English. I specialize in Conversational English, Business English, and IELTS preparation, and I love creating lessons that are fun, practical, and filled with real-life language. Growing up in a multicultural family helps me connect easily with learners from all backgrounds. When I’m not teaching, I’m socialising, exploring, and chasing new adventures!
As a TEFL teacher with over eight years of experience, I take great pride in helping students reach their language goals. I personalize my lessons by understanding each student’s interests, strengths, and challenges. My classes are engaging, supportive, and paced to suit individual needs. I use gestures, TPR, visuals, and props to create a fun and comfortable learning environment that encourages communication and builds confidence.
My lessons are carefully planned based on each student’s needs and interests. I use a range of course materials and textbooks to design effective and engaging sessions. I enjoy being expressive and incorporating visuals to ensure students clearly understand the content.
My teaching approach is highly interactive and student-centered. I use methods such as role-play, open discussions, textbook exercises, self-correction, and educational games to keep lessons dynamic and effective.

PromotorWorking as a promotor, I learnt how to encourage people into buying the product I was promoting. Today, I use this skill in my classroom to encourage my students to achieve their goals in the English language.

ManagerWorking as a manager taught me to be diligent and punctual. It also taught me to become a good problem-solver. This has added to my professionalism as a teacher and it has helped me to be creative in my problem-solving with my students. When I have a student that has difficulty understanding or communicating in class, my experience with problem-solving helps me to help my student overcome such difficulties.

Internship- TeacherThis experience taught me how to work with children and how to be patient with my students. Working in person, in a classroom with children taught me how to engage them and how to keep their concentration.

Au PairAu Pairing taught me to be creative and flexible but also structured to a certain extend. This has helped me in my classes. Understanding that people are individuals and that one method of teaching doesn't work for everyone. This is why I love to tailor my lessons to my students.
