David is a DELTA qualified, former IELTS examiner with over 20 years of teaching and training experience. He is from Cambridge, England, but has taught in China, Vietnam, France, Poland, and Greece.
His IELTS lessons are based on years as an IELTS examiner. He will guide you through the latest IELTS exam questions and band descriptors so you know exactly what to do to achieve the best score possible.
His passion is helping students to feel confident when communicating in English and to achieve their language learning goals.

David graduated as a teacher from Cambridge University and has been teaching English for over 20 years. He has worked with the British Council and Cambridge English, and was previously an examiner for IELTS as well as most of the Cambridge exams (including First, Advanced, Proficiency, BULATS). He has taught Business, Academic, and General English. He also has his own YouTube channel, and has trained teachers for many years. He has also trained students to first-place in China Daily national English speaking competitions.
When not teaching, David loves travelling and learning about different cultures. He also has a dog, 2 cats, and a strange love for Tottenham Hotspur football club.Mes leçons et ma méthode d'enseignement
You can choose to have your lesson on TenCent, Zoom, Skype, or the italki platform. David's lessons always aim to give you the maximum chance to speak and to ask questions. In your lessons, you can choose the topic or the grammar point that you wish to study. At the end of each lesson, David will review the things you did well, and help explain the things you got wrong. Remember, every mistake is an opportunity to learn; not a problem. David will also provide advice and suggestions on how you can continue to practice between lessons.Mes ressources d'enseignement

I recently attended a trial session with David and I was thoroughly impressed by the experience! The class was dynamic, well-structured, and tailored to my learning goals. I’m so thankful for David’s patience and dedication. 🥹❤️ He’s definitely the best Oral English teacher I’ve ever met on italki.
My overall IELTS mark is 8.0 with speaking one being 7.0. I firmly believe that without David, I wouldn’t have achieved my goal.😭😭
David has such an unique and extraordinary style of teaching. I have always been impressed by him!
