As a tutor specializing in Chinese conversational practices, my approach is rooted in the concept of comprehensible input. This involves:
- communicating mostly in Chinese at just above your current level;
- ensuring that you can understand the majority of what is being said (over 80%);
- yet still challenging you to pick up new vocabulary and grammar structures
Throughout the tutoring session, I incorporate lots of repetition and varied practice opportunities to help the student become comfortable with new topics & expressions.
