Ignacio

Tuve un buena conversación con Ignacio hoy. Es un buen hombre con un pasado muy interesante. Viva ahora en Extremadura de España, y tiene un grande huerto con muchos olivos y varios otros verduras. Estoy charlando con various profesores de España antes de un viaje allí este otoño. Fue un placer hablar con Ignacio.

A great first lesson with Ignacio! He outlined for me all of the options I have for how to learn - having that flexibility to either roleplay scenarios, have open conversation, or a more structured class is wonderful.

I’m actually a Spanish teacher and have been teaching language for a long, long time. Although I have a close friend and colleague who’s from Spain and with whom I speak regularly, I wanted someone else - another native speaker - with whom to practice. I’ve been talking to Ignacio for over a year now and I always learn something about Spanish (idiomatic language and vocabulary, for example) or about Spain. I’m planning to retire and spend significant time in Spain, including on the Camino de Santiago, of which Ignacio has loads of experience and has been a font of important information. He’s interesting and interested, and I highly recommend him.

What can I say? Ignacio has become my professor of choice; I only use him. It's always fun, and always instructive.
