Wako

Wake is a great teacher. Her Japanese is easy to understand and she is very patient with me. I am 60 years old so learning Japanese for the first time isn’t easy for me but Wako makes the process pleasant without any stress. I highly recommend her as a teacher.

Wako-san is a fun and outgoing person. Talking with her came easily and naturally. Even though I am an absolute beginner, with her help, I was able to understand most of what was spoken, and I was able to even answer some in broken Japanese 😂 Wako-san is well-spoken in both Japanese and English -- I can see that it can help if someone needs some explaining or an absolute beginner like me who is shy to come in and talk in 100% Japanese. She genuinely wants to get to know you and is able to keep the conversation going if you're a shy individual. We had a great time talking. It felt like it was 5 minutes! Thank you for the lesson Wako-san!

Wako sensei is very easy to talk to; if you are shy or anxious, she is a good teacher to have as her lessons are fun and very engaging, so there is no time to think about feeling shy or being nervous just about learning Japanese and sharing some laughter. So, I really appreciate that. 

I felt like Wako's lesson was a nice balance of Japanese and English. It was nice to feel comfortable speaking Japanese, but it was good to know I had an English safety net if needed. I enjoyed the slides she used during the lesson, and I appreciate the quick solutions she came up with when we encountered a minor technical error in the Italki classroom. This helped our lesson stay on track. I look forward to more Japanese lessons with Wako Sensei.

Wako 先生 was great. She helped me with some mistakes I often make, in a nice way so as not to crush me, and made suggestions for future classes. Hope we can have more classes in the future.

I was able to explain my learning level very well. The lesson overall was very enjoyable!
