I’m really enjoying our classes. Learning a language through a subject I love, like history, makes the whole process so much better. I actually look forward to reviewing the material and preparing for what I know, will be an interesting discussion

I came across Virgile’s profile when he was new on italki—his profile was fresh. After watching his well-made introduction video, I decided to take a chance and booked a full package with him. I’m happy with my decision! He makes learning French enjoyable, he is patient, and tailors lessons to fit my needs, whether it’s improving my speaking skills, understanding grammar, or learning expressions that native speakers use. Along the way, he also teaches slang words that you actually hear in real-life conversations. He creates a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, which makes it easy to stay motivated and confident while learning. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a great French teacher!

I know Virgile through my brother. After studying with him, I feel very satisfied with my choice. He is an incredibly dedicated and passionate teacher. He is very patient and always happy to explain things that I don't understand. He corrects my pronunciation and grammar mistakes carefully. Besides French, I also hear about French culture and he also teaches me native slangs. He makes learning French truly enjoyable. If you're looking for a great French teacher, that's Virgile!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Virgile was on time and very professional. First impression, he seems to be an extremely patient and kind teacher. He starts the first lesson with a general explanation of his teaching style, materials he uses, and his expectations of lesson progression for students using the materials. The lesson was immersion style and he could assist me when I had an English word needed to be changed to French. He conducted a no-pressure level check quiz and after evaluation, he gave me his corrections and will prepare homework for me to do at home. I appreciated that he offered to be flexible with me, whether I wanted to be corrected at the moment or to be allowed to keep the flow of conversation going. He asks interesting questions. Overall, it was a good lesson.

I’ve had a few lessons with Virgile and am having a great time! Virgile is patient, encourages me to learn things I wouldn’t learn on my own and the lessons are well structured with a mix of grammar, speaking, reading and listening. I hope to keep learning with Virgile!
