A fun class as always. I enjoyed reviewing things I thought I knew but found I still need practice. Looking forward to the next class. Cám ơn 🙏

Yang is literally the best. Her patience is unmatched and she understands how best to motivate me. She’s a very good teacher.

Today’s lesson was another big step forward. We started working on classifiers and also bringing together lots of previous vocabulary into more coherent sentences and questions. It finally feels like individual words are starting to connect into actual communication.
I honestly can’t believe how far I’ve come in only 3.5 weeks, especially without the advantage of a young person’s brain anymore 😵💫 Yang has been the driver of that progress. She gives me the time and space during lessons to think through sentences myself rather than rushing in immediately, which really helps build confidence and understanding.
She also gives genuinely productive homework after each session, so the learning continues naturally between lessons instead of feeling repetitive or disconnected. Every class feels carefully paced and purposeful, and I always leave feeling like I’ve made measurable progress.

Another excellent lesson with Yang. This time we started working more deeply on classifiers, directions, and building fuller sentences from all the vocabulary we’ve been learning over the past few weeks.
One thing I really appreciated was how Yang introduced classifiers. Hearing that Vietnamese has over 200 classifiers could have felt intimidating very quickly, but she presented everything in such a calm and structured way that it actually felt very manageable and never overwhelming. She has a great ability to simplify difficult concepts.
Something else I genuinely appreciate about Yang is that she clearly has a real passion for languages herself. She isn’t just teaching from a script. She’s interested in the origins of Vietnamese, how the language developed, and the cultural side behind it as well. That curiosity and enthusiasm comes through naturally in lessons and makes learning much more engaging and human.

这节课学到了大数量的数字,好难呀,因为和中文“万”为单位的逻辑不太一样,Yang每次都循循善诱,完全没有不耐烦!还会鼓励我!

Another fantastic lesson with cô Yang. What really stood out to me this time was her ability to adapt the session completely on the fly. I came into the lesson pretty exhausted after work and told her my energy levels were low, but somehow I actually finished the session feeling more awake and motivated than when I started ☀️
Instead of forcing a rigid lesson structure, Yang adjusted naturally to the situation while still keeping the lesson very productive. We continued learning new vocabulary, practising sentence building, and working on pronunciation, but in a way that felt comfortable and manageable given how tired I was.
I think these kinds of sessions are where Yang really shines and shows how experienced she is as a professional teacher. She reads the room extremely well and knows how to keep the lesson engaging without making it overwhelming. Her positive and encouraging personality genuinely gives energy to the session, which makes it much easier to stay focused.
