Really good lessons! I appreciate how flexible she is with lesson time and her engagement in the class. She has a good mastery of Urdu which is obviously a necessity for language learning. Her worksheets are well organized and super helpful for basic learning.

She consistently made sure I was actually learning by using active recall, which was very helpful. She's such a great teacher. :)

I would recommend Sumayiah who is a great Urdu teacher ! She is always timely and committed to my progress. Each lesson is tailored to the specific topics I would like to explore, hence i always feel each lesson is relevant.

Sumayia is a really proficient Urdu Teacher. I learnt the basics of Urdu script from her. She makes sure to cover all the basics and nuances of the language in her class. She is also very patient and flexible in her ways of teaching. I would highly recommend her.

I am taking an Urdu literature course this summer and don't know how to read Urdu (I know Hindi). I needed to be able to read Urdu before the class, so I started taking lessons with Sumaiya to gain reading speed quickly. Sumaiya is good at teaching the script. She insists that you name each letter when reading, which helps to nail down the fundamentals. I have taken about six lessons with her so far, and we are almost finished with the workbook. She said we were going to start practicing writing and reading poetry soon. I am looking forward to it.
