He has an interesting method to help you identify connected speech in videos/movies. I recently discovered that members of another Spanish learning platform that focuses on patterns or phrases speech to improve your conversation skills have been recommending his Youtube channel for improving your pronunciation. This can be start, but I feel it is important to have a native speaker listen and correct your pronunciation.

I appreciate his reminders in pronunciation. As an adult learner it can be challenging not to default to pronouncing Spanish words with English vowel sounds. Most people would teach someone correct pronunciation in our native language by telling them to repeat after them. But for some students it requires someone that can explain how words connect and where we need to place our tongue to reproduce the correct sound in Spanish so that we are understood. We don't think about all this detail when we speak in our native tongue. Miguel really has a specialized skill in teaching pronunciation in Spanish.

I thoroughly enjoyed my class with Miguel. He has a tremendous knowledge of phonetics and has already, after just one class, improved my ability to identify and produce certain parts of the language I've struggled with. His expertise in this area is unmatched (in my experience, at least). Additionally, he's eminently prepared and professional as an instructor - with a calm demeanor that aids the process. I would recommend him highly.
