From my very first lesson with Hina Sensei last year I knew she was the right teacher for me. I was immediately impressed with her focused approach to JLPT prep lessons. Her structured approach keeps me challenged and on track, and I appreciate that she quickly corrects my (many) mistakes and also provides regular feedback about my progress. Thanks to Hina Sensei, I feel like I’ve been able to make a lot of progress. The December JLPT is a long way away and I have much more to learn, but I feel like I am in very good hands under Hina Sensei’s guidance

Today was my 25th lesson with Hina Sensei! 🎉 While that’s a lot of lessons, it honestly seems like we’re just getting started. I feel like I’ve been able to make a lot of progress thanks to Hina Sensei. When I first started with Hina Sensei it became clear that I was nowhere near the level I thought I was at. Through her regular and direct feedback, I’ve been able to focus on what I needed to improve. Her approach to lessons keeps me challenged and motivated, and her explanations are always very clear. Thank you Hina Sensei, and I’m looking forward to the next 25 lessons!

Today’s lesson was great as always. I’m really happy I found Hina Sensei on this site because her lessons are consistently excellent and a perfect fit for me. The lesson time is always well utilized and is always very interactive - we don’t waste time doing things I can do on my own outside of class. Hina Sensei consistently provides detailed feedback (both positive and critical) which helps me understand what I need to focus on to get better. In addition, she reviews the homework in detail and really helps me understand the nuances of the new grammar points and more natural ways to write.

As usual, today’s lesson was challenging but also really good. For me, I learn best when I get pushed a bit out of my comfort zone and Hina Sensei’s lessons do exactly that (but in a good way!). We hit the ground running with each new grammar lesson and Hina Sensei has me trying to use the new grammar points right away. I definitely struggle at times (and Hina Sensei has infinite patience watching me figure things out) but I find that I learn much more quickly through this approach. I like that she also provides regular and direct feedback, correcting some of my bad habits and guiding me towards more natural ways of wording things
