I’m trained and certified by the Goethe-Institute and teach according to their method – the communicative approach. So I will help and prepare you to do the talking in our lesson.
I also love the advantages of technology and therefore offer "blended learning" classes, where after our face-to-face lesson you can continue online on a dedicated website or app, where I will provide you with material and exercises. Each lesson I give is highly personalized: So you tell me the focus of your lesson! I will adjust the lesson according to your wishes.
Furthermore we will match our lesson to your learning type. In my many years of teaching, I have come across very different learning types. Some students are comfortable with learning by hearing, others prefr to see the new words.
I also offer a "blended learning" class - a combination of face-to-face teaching and an E-learning website, where you can study online and get immediate feedback in between your private lessons. Marike hat mir geholfen, mich auf die B1-Prüfung vorzubereiten. Wir deckten alle relevanten Themen ab und trainierten für bestimmte Aufgaben basierend auf der Prüfungsstruktur. Ich kann diesen Lehrer jedem empfehlen, der sich auf die offizielle Telc- oder Goethe-Zertifikatsprüfung vorbereiten möchte. Vielen Dank.

Marike is an outstanding language tutor, super patient, and comfortable to talk with. She is a very knowledgeable, intelligent, and dedicated person. Marike always has a structured plan for our classes that is tailored individually according to my needs. I find her teaching materials (including but not limited to the course books, articles in magazines, and documentaries) very practical and authentic.
Thanks to Marike’s support and guidance I passed my telc B2 test with an overall score of 274 of 300 (Speaking 73/75, Writing 45/45).
I can highly recommend Marike to anyone who would like to improve their German skills with a professional tutor and in a nice atmosphere. I am very happy with my choice for almost a year now!
