I've done more than 40 lessons with Caoimhín now and he has helped progress my Irish so quickly. I was able to even go to the Gaeltacht and speak order at cafes and restaurants as Gaeilge while also engaging in light conversation. I recommend him if you want to really start speaking Irish.

Caoimhín is absolutely wonderful to work with. He is kind, patient and encouraging. He allows for a relaxed and fun environment to use your speaking skills while always being quick and polite to make corrections and help build confidence.

Caoimhín is a truly excellent teacher. I am learning a lot more Irish since I started classes with him, and I'm doing a lot more things 'as Gaeilge' than I ever thought I had the time for before this. He is easy to talk with and the conversation practice is always interesting. Caoimhín says about himself in his profile on italki: "I see myself as more of a mentor than a traditional language teacher. My role is to facilitate learning in every way that I can – to help people find effective and enjoyable methods, establish a good routine, and stay motivated by making steady progress." I would say that is an EXACT description of how he teaches. I have been studying Irish for six years now, but I was definitely having trouble with establishing a good routine AND with finding effective and enjoyable methods for learning the language. After a few small suggestions and encouragement from Caoimhín, all of a sudden Irish is a much larger part of my life. I highly recommend him as a teacher.

I loved my first session with Caoimhín. He is an excellent teacher and an interesting person to talk to. We had a relaxed conversation about the state of the Irish language. In addition Caoimhín provided me with loads of useful resources and tips for learning. I highly recommend this teacher for anyone getting started with Irish.
