Hi! My name is Boden, and I am from Chicago. I consider myself an avid language learner, with experience in languages from Italian to Russian. I am going into my freshman year of college, majoring in English and Economics, with hopes to study law after university. I enjoy all things from books to cinema, though I especially enjoy touching up on my French and getting into Italian grammar.
Most importantly, I enjoy sharing my love for languages. I have much experience teaching English over the past two years, both formally and informally through various programs; I want to use my experience and my knack for all things languages to help others with their own language goals.Moi en tant que professeur
I tailor each lesson to the learner’s goals, interests, and pace, ensuring that instruction is both relevant and motivating. Through conversation-based practice, targeted feedback, and cultural context, I help students build confidence and accuracy in their language use.
In particular, I use PowerPoint presentations and real-time feedback to help reduce errors and improve on pronunciation. Through my experience as a writer and an editor, I will help mitigate poor vocabulary use, building your wordbank to help improve overall sophistication as a speaker. Boden is an excellent teacher. He makes every class feel natural and engaging, bringing deep and thought provoking topics that lead to meaningful conversation. He really listens to what you say, corrects you with patience, and only when it's truly helpful. You never feel like you're in a formal lesson, the time just flies by. I highly recommend him.
