Hey guys! I’m Andrew, a trilingual community tutor here on italki. I have a huge passion for traveling and meeting new people. Over the course of my life, I have visited numerous countries and regions around the world. Despite my love for various cultures, I haven’t been able to travel as much as I’d like. This is because most of my time is spent at university, where I attend classes on weekdays and sleep in on weekends. I can go on and on about my hobbies (because I have so many) but I like spending my free time reading, cooking, playing video games, learning about languages/cultures, playing tennis, and watching TV, just to name a few. I am a very easy going and I would love to teach you!
Moi en tant que professeur
I love teaching people new things. In high school, I tutored younger children on academic subjects such as math and science. Now that I’m in college, I’ve been tutoring high school students in SAT and ACT. Although I have spent much of my time growing up translating English for my parents (I’m sure many second-gen immigrant children can relate), teaching languages is new for me. I have no formal teaching experience, but I would like to think of myself as knowledgeable when it comes to English, Mandarin, and Japanese. Whether you are just starting to learn these languages or have been learning for quite some time, I can definitely help you improve. My profile link: italki.com/japanese
Mes leçons et ma méthode d'enseignement
My lessons can be as structured as you like and as relaxed as you like. It can range from simply chatting, reviewing grammar structure from language textbooks, discussing TV shows together, watching anime episodes and analyzing dialogue, to reading online newspapers. Although my lessons can take on very different forms, everything we do will be aimed at improving your raw communication skills. What we talk about and what areas to focus on will be flexible. I will give suggestions on what you might want to focus on based on our first few lessons. However, ultimately, the freedom to learn what you want is in your hands. 授業でお会いしましょう!让我们在课堂上相见吧!

Choix du professeur
It's refreshing to have a teacher who is good at English and another language. He can explain the grammar quickly and concisely. Although I wish I knew that he is going to school soon and won't be available for a long time! :D

Highly recommend him to all learners. Him being fluent in English and Japanese is very helpful. He seems very flexible in learning style and building your lessons just to fit you.
