Hello! Γεια σας! My name is Sam and I am a Greek teacher and linguist, passionate about teaching.
I have a master's degree in linguistics from Aarhus University in Denmark and a bachelor's in Greek philology and linguistics from National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
In my spare time, I like listening to music, watching movies and reading books . I also enjoy travelling and interacting with people from all over the world. The main reason I love teaching is the great opportunity it provides to meet people from different cultural backgrounds and share experience and knowledge with them.
I look forward to meeting you in my class. Τα λέμε!
Moi en tant que professeur
I have been teaching online since 2022 and have helped students of very diverse ages and cultural backgrounds to achieve their goals. Due to my education in linguistics, I have solid knowledge of teaching approaches and methodologies.
Mes leçons et ma méthode d'enseignement
My lessons and methods are adjusted to the students' needs and motivation. If you want to learn Greek from scratch or you want to improve some specific aspects of it, such as your conversational skills, pronunciation or grammar, I will organise my lessons accordingly. I also offer exam preparation lessons, tailored to the official requirements set by the Greek government.
I like teaching in a more informal way and try to make my students feel comfortable with me. I mainly use Greek textbooks in my lessons, while I am also on the lookout for other materials, such as videos, podcasts or Greek films/series that can keep the learner engaged and motivated.
