Sayan is an excellent teacher. In just a few short months, he has significantly improved my Bengali. He is warm, friendly, and conversations with him are natural and engaging. His lessons are well-structured, and he prepares a lot of material for each session. He also values feedback, thoughtfully incorporating it into future lessons. I genuinely look forward to our classes each week!

Another fantastic class! We reviewed some pronunciation and verbs, as well as vocabulary building and cultural topics about West Bengal.

Just had my first Bengali class with Sayan. Incredible teacher! He took the time to get to know me and my needs, as well as creating an excellent class for me. I felt supported and confident in my learning. I will definitely schedule a 2nd class soon. Thank you!

Sayan is a great teacher. Explains concepts in detail and ensures his students have understood. Focuses on your weaknesses which shows great improvement in minimal time.

EXCELLENT teacher and class. I've learned a lot so far and am being challenged in class.

I really liked Sayan's approach to teaching. First, he listened intently to my needs as a student, understood where I was struggling and developed lesson plans based on that. Most of the time I felt heard, understood, and most importantly, that there was a lot of care and patience involved. He's very passionate about Bengali and he doesn't shy away from unconventional methods of teaching or explaining things. He was also very accommodating when I needed to postpone lessons, which was an added bonus. Last thing. Learning a language isn't easy, and it takes effort to let yourself make mistakes. You fear you'll embarrass yourself, or that you're not learning well enough. But it's how you get better. And it's how you grow. Sayan made me feel comfortable and as a result, I became less self conscious.
The only thing I would say is that I wish I was provided with more resources outside of class, but I suspect that will come in time.
