Miriam

Miriam's energy, enthusiasm, and openness make each lesson something to look forward to. She gives me a lot of leeway to make mistakes (and I make plenty of them!) without interrupting the flow of the conversation to correct all of them. Because of that, I'm willing to plow ahead and keep trying. The bottom line is that Miriam is a wonderful teacher.

Miriam suggests really interesting questions that stimulate our conversations. They are thought-provoking and they help me to consider an express ideas that are not always part of our everyday conversations. I really appreciate how good natured and patient Miriam is.

Even though I feel more comfortable and confident in speaking Italian, I still get frustrated with myself when I can't find the word or phrase that I'm looking for. I really appreciate how patient Miriam is and that she doesn't rush in every time to fill in the missing words. Another thing I really appreciate is that she never talks down to me or dumbs down our conversations.
