My name is Sarah and I come from Germany, I am 39 years old and a qualified social worker/educator. I have worked intensively with schools for over ten years and attended many lessons. This motivated me to start working as a German tutor myself.
Ich heiße Sarah und komme aus Deutschland, bin 39 Jahre alt und diplomierte Sozialarbeiterin/-pädagogin. Ich habe über zehn Jahre intensiv mit Schulen zusammengearbeitet und vielen Unterrichtsstunden beigewohnt. Online teaching is a new area for me as well, but it motivates me even more to work on my teaching methods and constantly develop myself. I have been gathering tutoring experience for the past 6 months and have taught approximately 400 lessons since then.
Online Unterricht ist auch für mich ein neuer Bereich, motiviert mich aber umso mehr, auch an meinen Lehrmethoden zu arbeiten und mich stetig weiterzuentwickeln. My focus is primarily on learning methods that are actually helpful for students. Since everyone has their own priorities as to how best to learn, we try to find out together and build on that. Since I am primarily a native German speaker, I see my main advantages in pronunciation, colloquial language and the application of what I have learned in everyday conversations. I can also help in the area of "official German" and written documents, as I worked in the public service for 10 years myself.
However, I am also happy to work on other areas of focus in order to give students the best learning experience.

Sarah is knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. She makes you feel at ease immediately, which helps you feel more confident when trying to speak a foreign language. I highly recommend her as a teacher.

I practice my German with Sarah for several months now - it's been a delightful journey for me. Sarah's support helps me to brush up on the topics I am interested in and also on the topics which are problematic for me.
I appreciate Sarah's flexibility in terms of how the lesson is structured, friendliness and, obviously - I see a great boost in my German skills!
