Hi, I’m Tatsuya. I’m a native Japanese speaker living in Osaka and a former junior high school social studies teacher with 9 years of classroom experience. I studied in the U.S., so I can speak English and support learners at any level, especially beginners who feel nervous about speaking Japanese.
Now I work as a freelance Japanese tutor. I offer relaxed and friendly free talk lessons that are customized to each student’s interests and goals.

教諭中学校で社会科教諭として勤務し、地理、歴史、公民といった分野を幅広く指導しました。地理では日本や世界の地形や気候の特性を学び、地域ごとの産業や生活文化の違いを通じて、グローバルな視点を育むことを目指しました。歴史では、日本史や世界史を通じて、歴史的出来事や人物から学び、現代社会への影響を理解する力を養いました。公民では、政治、経済、社会問題を扱い、社会の仕組みやルールについて考える授業を展開しました。また、生徒の発言を引き出し、ディスカッションを通じて主体的に考えさせることを心がけました。これらの経験を通じて、生徒たちが社会の多様性や変化を理解し、未来を切り拓く力を身につけられるよう支援しました。

2013 - 2018
Licence - 環境科学ノースイースタン州立大学で環境科学を専攻し、自然環境と人間社会の相互関係を幅広く学びました。主な分野としては、持続可能な資源管理、気候変動の影響と適応策、環境化学と生態学に重点を置きました。また、地理情報システム（GIS）を用いた環境データの分析や視覚化、環境法や政策の理解を深めました。フィールドワークを通じて、湿地や森林での生態系調査、水質評価など実地経験を積みました。これらの学びを通じて、環境問題に対する分析力や解決策を考える力を養うとともに、自然環境を守る責任感を得ることができました。
