Hi, I'm Jack. I have worked as a private tutor for over 5 years. I have experience working at British universities including York St John University and the University of Hertfordshire, and previously worked in business as a management consultant.
I can help you with academic writing, applications, exam preparation, or conversation practice. If you want in-depth discussions and a gateway into learning about British culture, I will be the perfect tutor for you!
In my free time I enjoy travelling, hiking, climbing, watching football, reading and photography. I am also using Italki myself to practice my French, Spanish, and Japanese, so I know what it feels like to be the student!Moi en tant que professeur
I have a TEFL qualification, and am a very patient and enthusiastic teacher. As well as one-to-one tutoring, I have taught English with charities for refugees and asylum seekers in London. I recently taught academic skills at York St John University, and I have also taught at the University of Hertfordshire. Before teaching, I worked for 5 years in business as a management consultant. I aim to make my lessons fun and interactive. I like to use real-world material such as TED talks, The Economist magazine and the Guardian newspaper to help my students immerse themselves in the English language. I am also happy to follow your chosen textbook and help with exam practice in order to work towards a formal qualification such as IELTS or a Cambridge exam. I can help you with your writing skills by giving you homework and providing feedback during our lessons. My English classes are fun, interactive and thought-provoking.
