I'm Verena, 30 years old and I'm a German teacher from Austria. I'm currently living in Austria, but I have also lived in France, Bosnia&Hercegovina and New Zealand. I'm new-ish to italki but I've been teaching German as a foreign language full time since finishing my Master's in 2020. One of the reasons why I became a teacher is that I love learning languages myself. I speak English, French, Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian and I'm currently leaching myself a bit of Italian. This is why I'm perfectly able to relate to any struggles you might have and give you the best learning advice. Besides languages, I love nature, travelling, yoga, dancing, literature, arts, outdoor activities, food & cats!

Verena is a wonderful teacher. I had been looking for a German teacher on iTalki for a long time, and I finally found someone who truly stands out. She comes well-prepared for the lesson, has deep knowledge of the language, and brings such positive energy that the time just flies by. I’m genuinely excited for our future lessons. Highly recommended for anyone looking to brush up their rusty German!

Verena is a great teacher! She is calm and always interesting to talk to. She's always ready to help with a missing word or phrase. Our lessons are well balanced, with a mix of conversation and grammar or homework review. I'm really glad to have found such a great German teacher!
