I'm Lee, or, in Latin, Lucia, a teacher who uses the "living" or Orbergian method of teaching ancient languages. I learned Latin from many great teachers. Non modo legendo, verum etiam loquendo et scribendo doceo. Grammatica est summi momenti, sed scribentes et loquentes grammaticam melius discimus. Ceterum iucundius mihi videtur. I teach Latin not only through reading, but also by speaking and writing. Grammar is of utmost importance, but we learn it better by actively using a language. Also, to me it seems a more pleasant way to learn. Et tirones et provectiores docere valeo. Cum quibus exercitia faciam; pensa domestica quoque dabo, si placet. Ab libris oerbergianis incipiendum censeo, sed libenter litteras et antiquas et recentiores docebo. Ut vultis! I am able to teach both beginners and more advanced students. With all students I work through exercises, and may also give homework assignments, if you wish. I believe we ought to begin with Orberg's Familia Romana series, but I can also teach ancient or more recent authors to advanced students. As you wish!

Amazing first lesson! I've been learning Latin for almost a year, but I've been wanting some extra tutoring to help my Latin using the Natural Method. I appreciated how Lee immersed the entire lesson fully in Latin, & even when I didn't understand a concept in Latin she was able to explain it all in Latin & making it easy for me to understand at my level, while also making me feel at ease along the way when I made mistakes in my Latin speaking. She made the lesson fun with humor while we read Familia Romana & I'll continue learning from Lee to perfect the gaps in my Latin. Gratias ago tibi!
