Hello! My name is Sophie, and I’m a native French speaker with a passion for language, storytelling, and connection. I lived in Australia for over six years, where I had the joy of teaching both French and English to students of all ages and levels. In addition to teaching, I’ve worked extensively in film and television production, which has given me a deep appreciation for creativity and communication. I'm an avid fan of cinema, TV series, books, the arts, animals, and of course food! I love sharing cultures through language and making every lesson a fun and enriching experience. I offer lessons in French for all levels, from complete beginners to advanced learners. Whether you're preparing for exams (Canada's TCF), traveling abroad, improving your conversation skills, or simply exploring a new language, I will adapt the lesson to your goals, level, and interests. My teaching style is dynamic, tailored, and all about you: your goals, your pace, your personality. I believe language learning should be both practical and enjoyable, so whether we focus on grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary, conversation, or cultural topics, every lesson is designed to keep you confident and motivated. Friendly and flexible by nature, I draw on real-life materials like songs, film clips, and articles to make our sessions feel authentic, engaging, and genuinely fun.

Sophie is very attentive. Lucky to have found her. She truly does her best to provide constructive feedback on the go during and after each lesson. The class agenda includes articles, readings, conversation, hearing and writing. All in a very productive system in order to improve language skills.

A really good learning atmosphere. For our first class, I did a lot of talking, with a lot of mistakes and missed vocabulary, and this is exactly my style of learning to speak. She corrected occasionally or provided missing vocabulary, but when I didn't talk, she stepped in and directed the conversation. Very professional. She found out my interests and goals and will prepare the appropriate lesson for next time.
