Amber Lin

I’ve been taking classes with Amber for almost 2 months now and I’ve retained so much knowledge working with her. I am still not confident in my speaking abilities at all, but with Amber, I’m comfortable trying without feeling embarrassed, which has allowed me to attempt more complex sentences, and build my vocabulary. After today’s class, she even did a check in with me to see what else I wanted out of my language learning journey aside from conversational skills. This was a surprise question for me, but I was glad she asked it, because I was able to express my interest in improving my reading comprehension of Chinese characters. She listened to the suggestions I had and we made plans for our future lessons together. Can’t wait to see where I am two months from now :)

My first lesson with Amber was great! I'm a complete beginner so she had the lesson already structured but was able to adapt it to my learning pace as we went along. She also laid out how future lesson plans could go according to my interests.

Super kind and personable teacher. I appreciate how helpful she is at providing me with more native ways of expressing myself and typing them out while i'm talking without interrupting me. I like to get carried away when I practice speaking Chinese and she's a great conversation partner. (She's flexible so just explain how you want to learn if you prefer a different way of course.)

I studied with Amber for about three months. During that time, her classes were enjoyable. From the start, we discussed how I wanted to learn, and she adjusted the lessons to fit what I needed. She’s friendly and easy to talk to, which made the learning atmosphere feel relaxed. If you’re interested in learning Chinese but don’t know where to start, try talking to Amber. I think she’s a good teacher, especially for beginners.

Amber is the best. She takes great care to explain points clearly and ensure understanding. She helped me with my pronunciation, grammar. and vocabulary. She is an excellent teacher. I am happy to be learning so much thanks to her guidance. 非常感谢
