I was nervous because this was my first 1-on-1 lesson ever, but Barbara was an excellent teacher! She was very encouraging and when I didn't understand something, she was great at slowing down and explaining in a way I could understand (I purposefully chose an instructor who didn't speak English so I would have to use Spanish to work around any miscommunication.) The lesson was thoughtfully structured with visual aids but she was also great at discussing questions or concepts with me in further depth. Also, she provided corrections that were very helpful but not in a way that disrupted the flow of the lesson. I am definitely booking with her again. Gracias Barbara!

¡Extraordinaria profesora! Aprendes muy fácil.

I have conversation classes with Barbara and enjoy them very much, as she is encouraging and creates a comfortable space for speaking and exploring new vocabulary. What I appreciate most is that Barbara is very thorough, even during casual conversations. She catches mistakes, explains them clearly, and sends helpful summary feedback. Barbara speaks clearly. I also find the Spanish–French language pair particularly effective :)
