Kexin is an excellent Chinese teacher if you want to learn quickly and naturally. Her teaching style is very direct and highly engaging, encouraging active use of the language from the start. She introduces practical, everyday vocabulary and flexible sentence patterns that make it easy to build meaningful conversations.
Lessons rely heavily on visuals and gestures, with minimal use of English, which helps you think directly in Chinese instead of translating. She also provides clear notes after each lesson and reviews new content at the end, making it easy to reinforce what you’ve learned.
I’ve been able to immediately use new words in real conversations after class. Kexin speaks very clear, standard Beijing-style Mandarin and communicates well in English when needed.
Highly recommended!

Kexin is a wonderful teacher. I really like the approach she takes in my lessons of teaching mostly through the target language (Chinese) and through lively conversation. So far, each lesson has been very well thought out with some being more free-form/ conversational and others being more structured depending on what is covered during the lesson. I find the lessons very interactive and appreciate how much I am given the opportunity to produce the language myself (i.e. making a sentence with a new word in, being asked my opinion on a new word) as well as how seamlessly this is incorporated into the lesson. I find that the notes I get after each lesson are written thoughtfully enough to be a useful learning resource by themselves. Lastly, it is also really nice to have a teacher who is also interested in and knowledgable about languages and cultures around the world as it means I get to have conversations that I would find engaging even in my native language.
