My name is Magnus, I’m 42, born and raised in Sweden. I’m married to an American woman and have family ties to Finland and Asia. I’ve visited more than half of Europe, as well as the USA, Nicaragua, and Israel, and lived in Italy for a short period. I’ve also lived in 10+ places across Sweden.
I’m running a UI/UX design company with my American brother-in-law and work part-time in sales and customer service at IKEA, with previous security work at Arlanda Airport. I studied UI/UX remotely at an American school, and I have art training from Swedish, American, and Russian schools.
I like movies and series (especially fantasy/sci-fi), the gym, games (digital and board), cafés, and good food.
Moi en tant que professeur
Through my education and jobs, I've gained a lot of experience talking with people from a wide range of cultures, including European, Nordic, Russian, American, Arabic, and Persian. This makes me comfortable with a big variety of cultural backgrounds.
We can talk about pretty much anything – everyday life and expat tips (happy to share stories from IKEA, Arlanda Airport, and different parts of Sweden), cultural comparisons between Sweden, the Nordics, and the USA, art and creativity (classical art, digital, or what ever!), movies, series, training and fitness, fantasy and sci-fi.
I'm happy to help with pronunciation and natural flow, and I always adapt the conversation to your level!
Mes leçons et ma méthode d'enseignement
With over 15 years of experience in public speaking, group leadership, and individual mentoring, I’m comfortable leading relaxed, natural conversations. My goal is to help you practice real-life speaking while improving pronunciation, expressions, and small mistakes, with as much or as little feedback as you prefer.
I teach all levels: slower and clearer for beginners, faster and more natural if you're more advanced. Also, I’m more than happy to use English (American accent) as support if you need it.
My goal is for you to feel confident and motivated – leaving each lesson with more self-assurance in your Swedish! Feel free to book a trial lesson or message me if you have any questions! 😄

Magnus is a very pleasant, fun and interesting conversation partner with rich life experience and enlightening perspectives. What I especially appreciate about my lessons was the feedback he sends afterwards. This takes the lessons beyond purely conversational and integrates systematic learning as well. Magnus is still new here at this stage, so I suggest that everyone out there books him before he becomes so popular that you have to wait weeks for an available lesson!
